Antalya Museum

Located on an area of 30,000 m2 in the heart of the city, Antalya Museum welcomes its visitors 7 days a week with 14 exhibition halles, outdoor galleries and yard. In addition to the remains and figurines dating back to prehistoric, times, ceramic and mosaic artifacts, coins, small icons, sarcophagi and sculptures, which belong to various civilizations such as Roman, Pamphylia and Lycia and were unearthed from the ancient sites including especially Perge, Termessos, Xanthos, Pata, Arykanda and St.Nicholas Church are, exhibited in the museum. The museum, which was founded in 1992 to protect historical artifacts against the occupation forces during the occupation of Antalya by Italian in the World War I, received “Special Awards of Council of Eurppe1 in 1988.
